Our Story...So Far
Pulp Productions was founded in 1995 when some high school friends started making a film called “Tales From The Disco” using nothing more than camcorders and VCRs. Several small attempts were made at making films including “The Case,” “The Craft,” and Tales From the Disco 2: Nixon Returns.” After a bit, life took over and for a few years and production halted until 2006 when we made a few music videos and our first short, ”Finders Keepers.” By 2010, Pulp Productions was back in full force with its first web series, “Geeks: The Series,” followed by our first 48-hour film festival attempt with “Bumpkinism: A Clown Thing,” making a total of 40 web episodes and short films. In 2013, we filmed our first feature, “Victims of Fun,” followed by “The Barlow House in 2014.” Today, Pulp Productions is working on its biggest project yet, “Darkness Has Covered My Light” and produces a cooking show “Fryin’ With Brian.”
Brian Naydol
Producer / Director
Brian Naydol is the founder of Pulp Productions. He never knew what he wanted to do in life until one fateful day when he saw “Pulp Fiction” in the theater. He started making films immediately after that. He had to take a break, though, but in 2010, he regrouped and has written and directed everything Pulp Productions has done so far, over forty short films and web series episodes and three feature films. Outside the movie business, Brian is a history buff who has focused mostly on Civil War studies, an avid Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Bears fan who loves cooking.
